Why do we cry?
Why do we cry when someone dies or things end? Is it really about the person or the thing? Or are we just sad for ourselves because we are unwilling to let go of the past – even the immediate past? Are we crying because we are clinging and still desiring or actually afraid of the future? Do we cry because we are truly unselfishly honoring a life now finished or a situation that brought us joy and now must pass because change has occured? What would happen if we suddenly stopped caring? If taking the next step or the next day or the next romance or friendship like it was “just another” – like suddenly being single or without another person or a thing was the BEST thing that ever happened cause now we get to start all over again no matter what side of the issue we are on? Would YOU still cry?
